Summary
Our team completed a three-visit wildlife removal service after attic noises were reported. Inspection confirmed raccoon activity originating from a soffit intersection, with additional roofline vulnerabilities identified. Humane removal measures were implemented, followed by full roof vent exclusion and final confirmation of resolved activity.

The property is a detached bungalow with a steep-sloped roof and multiple roof penetrations. The roofline configuration and soffit intersections created accessible points for wildlife entry.

The homeowner reported consistent sounds coming from the attic in the early morning, raising concerns about wildlife presence and potential damage within the roof structure.
Inspection & Findings
During the initial visit, an exterior roof inspection identified a large opening at a soffit intersection. The size and location suggested a larger animal than a squirrel. An attic inspection confirmed the presence of raccoon young within the insulation area. Additional roof vents were noted as unprotected and accessible.

Cause Analysis
Raccoons commonly exploit roofline intersections and soffit gaps when access points are available. The steep roof design and multiple unprotected vents increased the likelihood of entry. Once inside, attic spaces provide warmth and shelter suitable for denning.
Treatment / Removal
On the first visit, a humane one-way wildlife door was installed at the soffit intersection to allow adult raccoons to exit without re-entry. The attic was inspected to confirm the presence of young, and removal steps were planned accordingly. Two roof vents were sealed using galvanized steel vent covers.
During the second visit, an additional six roof vents were sealed with galvanized steel cages to address secondary access points.
Exclusion & Repairs
All identified roof vents were reinforced with galvanized steel covers secured to the roof surface. The soffit intersection entry point was managed through controlled exclusion, with no structural repairs performed beyond wildlife-proofing measures.
Outcome & Confirmation
At the final visit, the homeowner reported that all wildlife activity had ceased. The one-way doors were removed, and the full exclusion work was inspected. No further signs of raccoon activity were observed, and the service was confirmed complete.
